Cassina designer LC4 chrome and black leather chaise

Cesare and Umberto Cassina established their eponymous company in Meda, Italy, in 1927. it has grown to become one of the most important manufacturers of premium quality designer furniture in the world. Launching the concept of industrial design in Italy during the 50s saw a shift from hand-craftsmanship to serial production, working side by side with internationally acclaimed designers such as Gio Ponti, Vico Magistretti, Mario Bellini, Philippe Starck and Piero Lissoni.
The "Cassina I Maestri" (Cassina Masters) Collection was created in 1964 with the acquisition of the rights to produce designs by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, including the LC4 Chaise Longue - one of the most widely recognised designs of the 20th Century.
